Greek Chicken Souvlaki

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Souvlaki:

  • 4 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Skewers

For the Tzatziki:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Serving:

  • Pita bread
  • Fresh vegetables (tomatoes, lettuce, onions)

Instructions:

Marinate the Chicken:

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken cubes and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Make the Tzatziki:

In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Cook the Chicken:

Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers. Grill or cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.

Serve:

Serve the chicken souvlaki with pita bread, fresh vegetables, and tzatziki.
