I am Álvaro Menezes, and I created and maintain SmartHome-AI to share what I learn about smart homes. The site has no registration or contact form; messages reach me through the channels below.

Channels#

• Email: [email protected] — the best channel for technical questions, content corrections, guide suggestions and privacy matters.
• GitHub: alvaroajm — source code and projects.

Replies are written in spare time, usually within a few days. Messages about smart homes, Home Assistant, ESPHome, Zigbee, Thread/Matter and home networks come first. Portuguese and English are both fine.

What to include in a technical question#

The more context, the more useful the answer. If you can, include:

1. Where Home Assistant runs (Green, Raspberry Pi, mini PC, virtual machine) and the version (Settings → About).
2. Which integration is involved (ZHA, Zigbee2MQTT, Matter, ESPHome, HomeKit, MQTT...) and the coordinator or dongle in use (ZBT-1, ZBT-2, Sonoff, other).
3. The exact device model and, if available, the manufacturer's link.
4. What you expected and what happened, with the error message or a log excerpt (Settings → System → Logs). Remove passwords, tokens and external addresses before sending.
5. What you have already tried.

Corrections and suggestions#

Found a mistake, a broken link or an outdated price? Write in with the page and the passage. Guides are revised and the update date is shown at the top of each article. The site generator is open source on GitHub; technical issues with the site can be reported there as well.

Manufacturers and projects are welcome to get in touch about product reviews, but the site keeps its editorial independence: there is no paid content disguised as a guide, and any partnership or review unit is disclosed on the page itself.
